Empowering Lives Through the Power of Music
Discover strength, achieve meaningful goals, and embrace a life of hope, joy, and progress through music therapy.
What is Music Therapy?
A clinical and evidence based practice that uses music interventions to accomplish non-musical and individualized goals that support emotional, cognitive, physical, and social well-being.
Unlike music lessons or recreational music activities, music therapy is goal-directed and person-centered. Conducted by a Board-Certified Music Therapist, sessions use meaningful musical experiences to support individuals in uncovering their strengths and making progress toward emotional, cognitive, physical, and social goals. Music therapy is applicable across a wide range of ages and environments, including clinical, educational, and community settings.
Sessions may include music listening, singing, instrument play, movement, songwriting, improvisation, discussion and other music activities — always guided by your needs, preferences, and comfort level.
No musical background is required. Music therapy is about participation, not performance.
